Since this was Kensington's first Christmas, I was really looking forward to having her visit Santa for the first time. So, we headed to the UTC Mall on Saturday, December 15th. We came prepared...stroller, snacks, toys, sunglasses and both Daddy and Mommy. While I waited in line for close to an hour, Mike was able to take Kensington around the stores to keep her entertained. When it was finally time to have her sit on Santa's lap, we followed advice from friends, Mike put her on Santa's lap and we did everything we could to make her smile. Luckily, she is pretty social so she didn't break down into sobs but she didn't seem all that sure of the Ol' Guy with his bowl full of jelly. Hopefully next year we'll get a true Kensington smile.
Checking out the tree while we wait in line
"So, I'm just supposed to sit here? Like this? Then what?"
"Wait...I wanna go back I totally get this Santa thing now Mommy. Bye Santa. I'll see you next year."
Meeting Santa wiped her out. This was her pose after transferring her out of the carseat.
"Ooh I get to wear a hat like Santa and be held by Daddy? Yessss!"
A little late afternoon stroll around the block
