Wild At the Safari Park with the Szabos

One of the best parts about having passes to the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park is meeting up with friends that have passes too for a couple hours of fun. Kelly and the kids met us at the Safari Park on Tuesday. We arrived at opening, enjoyed some sights, ate lunch, and then headed home for nap time. It was an absolute blast!
The girls are ready to rock and roll!

First stop on our adventure? The Tiger Trail!

We were so lucky that we actually got to see the tiger up close and personal.

After we saw the gorillas, flamingos, and lions we headed to the tram. On our tram tour we saw so many incredible animals but the munchkins were busy eating so there were no pictures taken. However, even more exciting for Kensington than the animals running freely was the splash pad just around the corner. Our little fish can't get enough of the water!

Kelly and I always have such a great time together. Whenever we hang out, I am amazed at what an incredible mom she is. She rocks 3 kids like it's nothing!

Besser Twins and Fun with Bins

On Monday, June 24th Kensington and I made the trip up to Los Angeles to visit the adorable Besser twins and their beautiful mommy Paige. We stopped in Huntington to pick up Grammy and arrived in Culver City for lunch. We ordered lunch from one of Paige's favorite spots across the street. Grammy and Kensington picked up lunch, dropped it off, and then went on a stroll around the neighborhood so that Paige and I could visit. I was even lucky enough to feed both Sadie and Wyatt their bottles. They are just the sweetest little peanuts. and Paige is such and amazing mommy already. I can't wait until the next time I can go and visit.

Kensington slept our entire way home from Los Angeles (even with the stop in Huntington) and so when we arrived home, she was ready to play!
"What would you like me to cook for you Mommy?"

"Who put this elephant on my refrigerator? That's not where it belongs!"

"One kiss on the taggie before I put it away."

"Hi Mommy!"

"This is so much fun!"

"What do you mean this bin is supposed to hold my diapers? I think it's perfect for playing peek-a-boo."

"So you want me to pick up those diapers and clean up?"

"One more time and I'll start to clean up."

Bins are so much fun!!!

Beach Day with the Vincents

This morning we headed up to Moonlight Beach in Encinitas to join the Vincent Family in some summer fun by the shore. To say that Kensington loves the beach, would be a huge understatement. She LOVES the beach. The sand, the sand toys, and the water. She just can't get enough. In fact, on the way home from our beach day excursion she was singing until she fell asleep. A true sign of another successful beach day!

 Checking out the waves

Checking out the prime spot to start digging

Getting a closer look at the shoreline with Daddy

Stopping to play in the sand for a bit

One more picture before getting changed into her bathing suit

Changed and ready to hit the water

Trying to get a smile with Daddy but someone was too focused on the water

Kensignton, Taylor and Cam playing in the sand "jacuzzi."

She just loves playing with these two

This is one happy little mermaid

Cement Mixer Fun

As all parents of young children know, munchkins get up bright and early every single day. While adults prefer to relax and sleep in on weekends, kids' inner clocks tell them that the day is ready to begin promptly at 6:30am. So, with sleepy eyes and heavy feet, parents muster up all of their energy because once little ones are up...they hit the ground running. Kensington is no exception. Mornings might be her favorite time of day. She absolutely loves her breakfast and time "outside." This weekend, we were lucky enough to have the cement mixer across the street begin promptly at 8:00am which provided entertainment for little miss who LOVES trucks.

Getting silly while feeding herself yogurt

From Daddy's height she was able to see the truck.

Giving Mommy distracted snuggles while keeping the majority of her attention on the cement mixer

Double High-Fives for Daddy

Just love this little munchkin and her "boat-shoe" TOMS

"Yeah Daddy I hear the truck!"

"If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands."

Rocking her heart-shaped sunglasses...NBD

Just can't get enough

Silly for Kix

We returned home from the Botanical Gardens so that Kensington could take her afternoon nap in her crib. When she woke up from her nap, it was time for snack. She decided to have a small snack of Kix before getting silly for the camera.

She was pretending to sleep and kept saying, "Nigh Nigh"

Trying to make fishy faces at Mommy. (Yes, I was making them to her as well.)

Showing off her tongue...what I love most is how she has her hands crossed so lady-like.

San Diego Botanical Gardens

On Friday, Kensington and I met Christie and the kids as well as Jess and her nephew Grayson at the San Diego Botanical Gardens. It was the perfect San Diego day to explore the children's garden area. Kensington had a blast exploring with all of the kiddos.  We now have passes so that we can go throughout the summer and even after the school day in the fall.
 Through the maze they go!

 "Wait for me Taylor."

"Will you help me up the stairs Auntie Jess?"

 "Cooking" in the sandbox

Checking out the view from the hill

 Looking at the beautiful flowers

 "Let's explore over here Mommy."

She was far too busy to worry about Mommy taking pictures, but I did happen to catch one of her looking straight at the camera.

"Row Row Row your boat gently down the stream...."

"Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, Life it but a dream."

Trying to reach all of the boats

Shortly after this pictures, we removed her shoes because she wanted to get in.

One of her favorite parts was when Taylor would sprinkle water on her toes.

She and Cam were mesmerized by Taylor's water skills.
