Spending time with Aunt Kym

This weekend my sister came down to San Diego to spend time with us. Kensington just loves getting to visit with her Aunt Kym.

Pool Time with the Keith Family

We try to spend time with the Keith Family at least once a month. For August's get together, the Keiths headed up this way for some pool time and a BBQ. As always, we had a blast!

Nectarines

Now that Kensington has been introduced to all the vegetables that she is allowed to eat at this stage, we have moved onto fruits. The first fruit? Nectarines. As happens with introducing anything new, the first day she was a bit unsure about the nectarines. By day two however, she was "shark attacking" the entire serving of her nectarines. Success!

"So Daddy you're sure I'm going to like this? I'm not convinced."

  "Hmmm...this is orange like butternut squash but tastes different."

"Mmmm...it tastes so good once it hits your lips."

Taylor Swift Concert

On Thursday evening, Mike stayed home with the munchkin so that I could go to the Taylor Swift concert with Jess and Kelly. We headed to "Devine Pastabilities" for dinner before heading to the show.

Devine Pastabilities is the spot Mike and I have always gone before a show at Valley View. They serve pasta inside a bread roll. The restaurant has expanded since last year. Now, they even have Sculpin IPA on tap.

Visiting Gram

On Thursday Kensington were supposed to have a play date with some girlfriends and their kiddos. Unfortunately, the girls had to reschedule. However, that suddenly gave Kensington and I a free day. We decided to take a spontaneous trip up to Orange County and visit my Gram, Kensington's Great-Gram in Brea.
