This year was our 7th wedding anniversary. We decided to celebrate by having our first overnight trip away from the little one. Mom and Ernie headed down to San Diego on Saturday morning and then we hit the road.

We made it! If you visit the JW Marriott in Palm Springs and you need to have dinner at Mikado. Hopefully, you'll get our chef Mike who made the entire dining experience once we won't soon forget.

It is incredibly dark but there is an actual black swan swimming up to the guy in the white shirt. I've never seen a black swan in person so we had to try and take a picture but didn't want to frighten it with the flash.
On Sunday morning after a delicious brunch at the Rock Grill Mike surprised me with a couple's massage at the JW Spa. What a relaxing way to end an incredible weekend.
