As summer draws to an end, my mom and I thought the perfect play date location would be Balboa Island. It has been a family favorite for years. So, Kensington and I headed up to coast and met her for lunch, a walk around the island, a little shopping and of course Balboa Bars! For those of you unfamiliar with Balboa bars, they are incredible! Vanilla ice cream is dipped in chocolate and then laid in a topping of your choice. We went for "everything" which means that our bar was covered with pieces of Oreo cookie, a variety of nuts, and rainbow sprinkles. I even managed to eat the bar with Kensington in the Bjorn and not drop a bit on her white floppy hat. That's what I call "Mommy Skills."
