For Thanksgiving, we decided to take our first road trip up the coast to Santa Cruz so that we could celebrate with Mike's family. We woke up early, breezed up through San Diego and Orange County but unfortunately, arrived in LA at 8:00 on a work day. So all in all it took us 11 hours from San Diego to Santa Cruz. Luckily for us, we were able to take about an hour break up in San Luis Obispo. We hiked up Poly Canyon, enjoyed lunch at Firestone and stopped by the Cal Poly Store on Higuera. We had so much fun showing Kensington our own stomping ground. Even with the rainstorm outside of Salinas and a faulty DVD player, Kensington was a true Road Trip Warrior.
