After dinner and a little bit of socializing, it was time to get ready for the smash cake. We had cupcakes and a #1 cake for the guests and a special double layer crown cake for the party princess. The photos below show the process of "smashing" the cake. Kensington was quite delicate about the actual smashing. She tasted the frosting after some prompting from Daddy but didn't want to have anything to do with the actual cake. Once or twice she tried to lift the cake up off of her high chair and by the end she pushed down on the entire cake. As everyone sang and clapped for her she joined in the clapping. After she was done, a little frosting on Mommy and she was ready to go back to socializing.
