On Thursday night, we experienced our first Arizona "Haboob." In the morning when we woke up, Monsoon weather had officially hit. After breakfast we headed outside for some backyard fun.
"Hmmm...what should I play with first?"

"Did you know that my sunglasses have stars and stripes on them?"
"Ooh wait, where are my sunglasses supposed to go?"
"Oh that's right...they go on my head."

Time for some summer gardening
The munchkins had so much fun "drawing" with the chalk.
One of Liam and McKayla's favorite parts of playing with chalk was tracing the grown-ups and being traced.
Everyone cooling down in the pool
For Liam's 3rd birthday, the Singletons and the Braunds went in on his birthday gift, a balance bike. We brought the gift to AZ so that he could open it in front of all of us. The jury's still out about the bike but we think he's slowing starting to come around to it.
Exploring the rocks
Kensington and McKayla quickly noticed that Liam was opening a gift and jumped in to help him.
We were so lucky that the Tracys happen to come into town the same weekend we were there. Kensington was thrilled to see Auntie Amber and Uncle Trent!
McKayla had met Auntie Amber at my baby shower for Kensington but this was the first time she met Trent and she just took right to him. The Tracys were only able to stay for a short visit but it sure was fun getting to see them!
